Laura Shapiro

Laura is the acting Program Coordinator for the 2020-2021 school year. She graduated with her BA in Communication from the Honors College at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and completed her Master of Music at the University of London's Goldsmiths College. Growing up with a piano teacher for a father, this was her first instrument although she went on to specialize in music production, engineering, and synthesis. She has a strong background in leadership positions as a former RA and Peer Mentor throughout college and in summer programs for international students learning English. As an active member of Shesaid.so and a working producer, Laura has a passion for music education and increasing opportunities for women and young girls in the world of music creation.
