Activity #12: Count Dracula teaches you rhythm
Activity #13: Increase your speed of naming your notes in a fun way! This free game allows you to choose Beginner, Intermediate, or Virtuoso levels. Your overall score depends on how accurate and FAST you are!  https://www.richmanmusicschool.com/products/name-that-note
Activity #14: Make your own origami music note! If you’re looking for a fun way to create art and show others you’re a musician, try this at home. Fun tip: After you’re done, write a message to a friend on the piece of paper and mail it to them. They’d love getting a “NOTE” from you in the mail! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5mTvAoEzdc
Activity #15: June 1st Lesson Plan

#1 - You're the composer! This link will allow you to write your own brief piece of music! Look for the 'beginner' and 'advanced' tab and see if you can write and play a fun melody. Once you're done, try playing it on your own instrument! Unfortunately, this website only offers treble clef but those of you who play in bass clef can still write a piece and then pretend it's in bass clef. Have fun! https://www.classicsforkids.com/games/compose_your_own_music.php

#2 - Here's a fun way to help you play with a super steady beat. The more you play this game, the more you'll understand how crucial it is to play exactly on the beat. If you're successful at this, it means you already have a good and natural sense of tempo. If you get a lot of bummer buzzes, keep trying until your success rate increases. This will pay off when you play in any group! https://www.classicsforkids.com/games/rhythm_master.php
Activity #16: Practice your note names! Be sure to set your online game for either treble or bass clef using the tab at the top: www.classicsforkids.com/games/note_names.php. Violas, use this link for alto clef: musicteachersgames.com/altoClefOne

Activity #17: Now that you're a musician in band or orchestra, you'll be using words and terms that are unique to the world of music! Start with the 'beginner' level and see if you can pass the 'advanced' level this week! www.classicsforkids.com/games/musical_terms.php
Activity #18: June 8th Lesson Plan
#1: Explore the instruments of the orchestra (and band) with the former director of our own Seattle Symphony! Set aside some time to simply click, listen, and relax to these expert musicians give demonstrations! https://www.thinglink.com/scene/374799720679211009?fbclid=IwAR11wgiwRnBD_DE1xQeXHs_ZwhtNCaAZnytcAb8GCUAVP7R_QkfKshHb91M

#2: Here are some hands-on experiments that make connections between science, math, art, and music! There isn’t a worksheet to fill out or a puzzle to solve – just fun and interesting experiments that will broaden your music education1 https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/
Activity #19: June 15th Lesson Plan

Make your own instrument! Here's a fun way to make "Water Music" at home. Enjoy this quick activity to help train your ear and even play some of the tunes out of your band or orchestra book. Have fun!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUkbw2LLkU4
